Yup that’s correct I bought a drone. I know I am a stills photographer not a videographer. I have been capturing images from a hand held camera for the past 30 years, so you ask why did I buy a drone? Well I guess it’s because I think I can give me a different look at things that I shoot, plus it will be a blast flying this thing around.
I bought the brand new DGI Phantom 4 Pro. This thing shoots 4K video at 60fps, and has a 20 megapixel camera for stills. The one inch cmos sensor can shoot 14fps from the air.
It shoots RAW and JPEG images, and I can pull still images from the video if needed.
I have to admit I know very little about prosessing video, and I am not sure if I am ready to learn it. Not only does it take a lot of time to produce a well crafted video, but doing so takes up a ton of memory. Lucky for me memory is pretty cheap now days.
These images are just JPEGs straight out of the camera. I plan on getting into lightroom and seeing what the RAW files loook like. I will let you know how they look and post some when I get them done.
Thx for stopping by
I will talk to you soon
